–Microneedling is a simple office-based procedure. After preparation of the area with a thourough wash, the area to be treated should be previously numbed with topical anesthesia for 45 minutes to one hour. Rolling is done 15-20 times in horizontal, vertical, and oblique directions on the different areas of the face beeing very careful on not to repeat the same areas on the same session.
Petechiae or pin-point bleeding which occurs shoul be easily controlled by wiping it off with a sterile gauze. (If you cannot control it you should immediately seek medical attention). After treatment, the area should be wetted with sterile saline serum pads, cold pads and desinfection.
The entire procedure should lasts for 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the extent of the area to be treated. A minimum of six weeks is recommended between two treatments as it takes that long for new natural collagen to form. Three to four treatments may be needed for moderate acne scars.
POST-PROCEDURE CARE
Microneedling is well tolerated by patients but erythema (redness) may be seen after treatment, lasting for 2-3 days. Photoprotection (sun cream) for a week is advised as a routine and local antibiotic creams may be prescribed by a doctor if complication arises. The patients can go back to work the very next day. Glad I ordered the QMD Derma Roller Kit. I have used the 1.0mm three times and believe I’m seeing results as pores look smaller and skin looks healthier on my late-50s face. I use on a night when I don’t have to go anywhere the next day because my fair skin gets a little red and raw so I prefer not to be in the sun the next day. I did this also when I was getting professional peels. This is much more convenient doing at home myself and not spending money on peels. Also using on my hands and arms and believe I am seeing results in collagen formation. I will keep using this product. The roller is very well made and I’m getting quicker at using it. First off, I was really impressed at the vacuum dealer packaging. Anything you are about to poke into your face you want to make sure it hasn’t been tampered with! This packaging ensures that. I have tried a few rollers but have yet to find one with an interchangeable head. It is so much better than using the small head on your face and body. I really am enjoying using the big one on the back of my arms where I tend to get little bumps. If you are scared of derma rolling, don’t be. It really does not hurt! I actually enjoy it and can honestly tell a difference in my skin and the bumps on my arms are really starting to go away. This product was provided in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. This is a great product and something everyone should add to their beauty routine. I recommend keeping a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol on your counter so you can easily clean It after each use

This product scared me at first. It looks a lot worse than what it is. Please be sure to read the directions carefully before you start. I was glad I got the chance to test this product. The roller is easy to use. It did cause some small bleeding the first few times. It is similar to the same procedure you get at the dermatologist. I would use it in a night when you are not going anywhere the next day. It does leave the skins little red and the directions say you may want to stay out of the sun. I am very pleased with the results and plan to continue using it.

I have been using the Derma Roller after it was recommended by my friend. In the past I tried Botox to reduce some wrinkles, but I have found that even with this treatment a few fine lines have been appearing. This is what happens when you laugh and smile a lot! 😉 I must say that after using 1,0 needle size 3 times per week, for two weeks my skin looks incredible. The lines have definitely become much shallower around my eyes, and the marionette lines have evened out and are not too prominent at all. The reason I purchased this derma roller is that this one has 1.5mm Body Roller Head. I have stretchmarks and I use 1.5mm head for it. These are slower to respond, but after 7 daily treatments they already seem shallower, and less noticeable.

I love that this comes with two heads so that I don’t have to buy 2 different rollers for my body and face. This has both conveniently together. One roller is for the face (the smaller one) and the other larger roller is for your body. The instructions that are included in the box are very small and hard to read but there are some instructions for using it on your face that are on the box, which is easier to read. Furthermore, QMD will send you an email that has instructions that are easy to read and understand.
I like the cover that comes with the body roller head, so I can at least have it protected when I store it away. It won’t fit in the case but the smaller roller for the face does. The more I use this the more I like it. You do need to have a very good vitamin C or E serum to use immediately afterwards, though. ALWAYS, soak in alcohol before using it on your face. I know that the product is supposed to come already sterile but I tested it out on my hand first and got these little hives that were itchy. Well, I did not want that to happen to my face so I soaked the Derma Roller in alcohol and then rinsed it well. Tried it again on my hand and this time I had no irritation at all. Therefore, I highly recommend you test it on the back of your hand first to see how your skin reacts. If you do react badly then soak it in alcohol, like the instructions say and then try it again. It made a great difference. Even if you do not have a reaction, you should still soak it in alcohol. After using it a few times, I did notice that the morning afterwards, my skin looked more moisturized and clearer. This got me excited. It helps that I am using a good serum as well. It gets easier the more you use it. Don’t put a lot of pressure on it when using it your first time, not until you know how your skin will react and then you can adjust the pressure to what you like, Your face will be red after using it so it is recommended that you only use it at night. The next day, if you were not too rough, your face should be a little pink but nothing too bad and it should go away as the day goes on. At least that is what happened with me. I have noticed that I seem to have more even skin color and my face seems to look more hydrated than before. I plan to continue to use this product and cannot wait to see if there are any more improvements, as I use this Derma Roller.
