Do not use the Dermaroller of you have at present any of the following conditions: open injuries or wounds, skin with a recent sunburn, recurring herpes simplex or zoster, active or acute acne, or an acute infection, swelling or inflammation of the skin, of a known or unknown cause. Don’t use the Needling device either if you have poor wound healing, collagen diseases, blood problems as hemophilia, leukemia or your body defenses are low, due to conditions as cancer, for example. Any other diseases as Diabetes, Arthritis, Psoriasis or similar are also conditions where the use of Dermarollers are not recommended unless you consult with your doctor. If you are pregnant or lactating you should ask your physician first. If you have frequent keloid scarring is better not to use. If you are under medication such as Antiinflammatory agents as Aspirin, Nurofen, or Vitamin E, or drugs that influence the coagulation factors of the blood, take note that they can cause increased bruising. You should stop that type of medication two weeks prior to the derma roller therapy.
